"A Tradition in Storytelling"

Author and Book Information

Linda L. Bischoff
Married with two children, Linda always loved reading to her boys as well as other children at their school. Helping children develop and interest in reading has always been one of her passions. As a dog lover and writing for children, she has found a way to blend both of these loves.

Linda has been a Registered Nurse since 1981 and resides in Grand Haven, Michigan with her family. Her son, Ken, an art teacher, did the illustrations for this book.

Ben and the Big Black Dog
Jaws, a family pet is the inspiration for Linda L. Bischoff's new book for young readers, BEN AND THE BIG BLACK DOG. A child who dreams of having his very own dog, discovers a wonderful, black dog who becomes a trusted member of the family. It is a delightful expression of love. Illustrated by Linda's son, Kenneth D. Bischoff, it is recommended as a "Read to me Book" for ages 3-8 and is also grade level reading for second through fourth grades. It is appended with a grade-level vocabulary list.
